Congratulations Jamie and Nathan! What a day!
I am so glad to have met Jamie and Nate, firstly Jamie had spent time in New Zealand, and that was our first connection, me being a “kiwi”. Jamie and Nate’s love is so sweet. The way he looks at her, and Jamie’s smile – just beautiful.
The wedding day started at the Kalahari with getting ready photos. Some of the fun moments were when the ring bearer came in with a huge chocolate lollipop! Everyone thought he would get it all over his clothes, but no – he didn’t! The when we were ready to do some groomsmen photos, the ring bearer and his dad were laying on the bed (son sleeping on his chest), so we decided to get everyone to lay on the be and be sleeping for the group photo – a great memory of going with the flow of it.
The girls left for the church, and we weren’t far behind. It was a sweet ceremony at St John’s Lutheran Church in Baraboo, then we drove back to the Dells to Trappers Turn for the reception. Its such a lovely setting on the golf course, with the view of the We had some fun doing photos on the bridge, then took a little trip on the golf carts with just Jamie and Nate to get a few by the waterfall.
We retuned for a beautiful dinner, and ice-cream cake for desert! Megan, the bridesmaid delivered a beautiful and heartfelt speech as did John, the best man. Then Jamies dad, John gave his speech, which was full of emotion and love for his daughter and for her new husband Nate and how grateful he was for him. Not a dry eye in the house. But thats what love does. It brings us together with an intensity of appreciation and delight and touches our hearts.
The first husband and wife dance was lovely. The dance party began with Dueling Pianos playing top hits. There were lots of fun requests and dancing! Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Gundrum!!
