What a great wedding October 10th was! We (my assistant Daniel Rivera and myself) had such a beautiful day at Badger Farms. It was a great flow, starting off with first look under some beautiful oak trees. I can’t believe the love these two beautiful souls have for each other.
We walked around the property finding some beautiful spots to take photos. Kate had given me a framed photo of herself (with a dandelion in her hand) when she was little and wanted a photo of herself holding the frame. Guess what? We found a perfect dandelion for her to hold again, as a beautiful bride, then she and Josh blew it together, it was very sentimental.
The ceremony was beautiful. Kate walked down the aisle, then was handed a guitar when she got to Josh. It was a surprise. She had written him a song. He was so shocked – the look on his face was priceless. He listened and Kate sang with all she had, all her love, she gave to Josh through the song…not a dry eye…
They sealed their love with a kiss, and we ducked inside to sign the license. We continued the day photographing in the wind – it didn’t help the game of Jenga (I couldn’t believe the stack was standing so long). Everyone settled down to a wonderful meal, and ice-cream was the choice for desert. “First scoop”. We headed into the reception area and Kate and Josh shared their first dance. It was so well done. We continued with the parent dances before finishing for the night. It truly was a beautiful wedding. I wish you all the very best. Congratulations Josh and Kate.
