Theresa and Mike’s wedding was the most wonderfully relaxed wedding I have ever photographed. It says a lot for them as a couple, going with the flow of things, having simplicity, and inviting capacity for everyone, and an energy of fun and love.
The location was at a lovely barn with gorgeous grounds in Columbus. The temperature was perfect with blue skies and a few clouds. A non-traditional couple, they were getting ready and we got bridal party and family photos done prior to the wedding, with some of the two of them as well.
The bouquets were the most unique I’d ever seen.. succulents. The were heavy to hold, but the were so gorgeous.
The ceremony was outside – a semi circle of chairs with an archway that the couple stood under to be married. The ceremony was sweet, with an invitation to greet and say hello to your neighbor, ensuring everyone was united in the love Theresa and Mike shared. There was laughter and tears as they were married and greeted by their friends and family.
There were games to play, including bags, checkers, golf, there were lots for the kids to do too.
There were food carts for the guests, with tacos, salads, wraps, meats, with a beautifully decorated table indoors as well with fine aged cheeses and fruit spread and meats and a display of cookies and sweets that were amazing.
Maria and I were so grateful to be at the wedding to cover the day. It was a beautiful experience and I know without a doubt that this couple Theresa and Mike are kind and loving beings who will be together, love together and grow together. Congratulations!
